I am Martha Clark and, as owner of Simplex Services, I'm pleased to have this opportunity to give you some background information.

My sales and marketing experience started in the field of real estate as an agent and ultimately progressed quickly to owning my own real estate brokerage company which led to being a principal in a mortgage brokerage corporation.

These professions forced me into the computerized world. I very quickly realized the potential of online marketing. In fact, I became so enthralled, I turned the day-to-day operation of those other businesses over to managers and expanded into yet another profession by establishing Simplex Services.

Simplex Services has been marketing informational products online since 1992. That's almost since the commercial re-birth of the Internet. Starting to explore the new frontier was not always easy. Without expert guidance, it's always very possible to take the wrong path over the next mountain.

The journey began by placing little ads on hundreds of BBS's and moving on to the major online services like "CompuServe^tm", "Prodigy^tm"on and "America On Line^tm". Then, with the availability of a local Internet service provider and through a terrific online membership organization called GEN, I discovered the incredible marketing power of the Internet.

No longer was I confined to simple text reader ads, now I could bring what I had to say to life with color and photos. Learning how to create and maintain a new online image became my goal. On the quest for an education, I also saught the answers to what marketing strategies would make online sales as successful as retail & direct marketing was offline.

It soon became evident the knowledge and skills I was learning could help other businesses experience the real benefits of the Information SuperHighway. So Simplex Services began offering the expertise and resources necessary to assist companies through all stages of planning, development and implementing of an Internet business presence.

Today, software may make it easy to create a homepage but it doesn't come with a business plan. Understanding the particular needs of the individual business and customizing an economical and successful online marketing campaign is what Simplex Services does time and time again for its clients.
